After studying sarod with world-renowned sarod player Ustad Amjad Ali Khan in India for three years, Stephen embarked on concert tours throughout Europe, Asia and North America. He recorded two albums with the global music firm Boosey and Hawkes in London before moving to Los Angeles where he currently resides. Stephen works in multiple genres, including Western classical, Indian classical, jazz, folk, and rock music. His credits range from providing additional music for the film Formula 51, starring Samuel L. Jackson, to founding the non-profit organization Ombience, which supports artistic ventures that explore the creative connection between Art and Spirituality. Stephen has played in major concert venues including Town Hall and the United Nations Headquarters in N.Y., and the Kodak and Wiltern Theaters in L.A. His music has been played on major networks (MTV, NBC, Discovery Channel, BBC) and has been featured in various shows including America’s Top Model, Animal Planet and Rich Girls.
Stephen is currently working on a an album of songs inspired by his travels. The album, called ‘Namaste’, follows the arc of transformation of a seeker from despair to elation and subsequent detachment via the path of enlightenment. The production team for the album includes 2x Gold Disc Award Winner Matt Forger (Michael Jackson, Stephen Spielberg, Paul Mccartney, George Lucas), and East-West Master Violinist and Vocalist Shenkar (Shakti, Peter Gabriel, Sting, NBC’s ‘Heroes’) among others.

Zephyr also relies heavily on western classical tradition, while incorporating a modern 'groove'.Elizabeth signed to Origin Music Publishing (Australia) in 2001 and they re;eased her first album, Zephyr, which became a favorite on ABC Classic FM. In 2004, she got a scholarship for “composers of popular music” and went to India to study at Shri PK Salve Music Academy, Maharashtra. Here a completely new experience in her life started. Surrounded by the very special spiritual atmosphere of Indian music culture and the guidance of the founder of the academy Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, songs emerged.
After coming back to Norway they teamed up with Harald Søreide and Eirin Røykenes. because their background from Norwegian folk music added a genuine, traditional atmosphere to the songs. (besides, they were also very nice people) Anthropologist, philosopher and producer Geir Luedy (Robert Post, Karin Park, Susanne Sundfør .....).together with keyboard wizard Erlend Fauske, tom-tom drum doctor Tor-Bjarne Bjelland(Robert Post, Trucks) and bass therapist Vemund Stavenes(Span) contributed to create the expression of SantaCecilia. He retired from Counting Crows after 14 years in December of 2004 to get off the road and pursue a career closer to home as a record producer, session bassist and bass guitar instructor.

During its 10-year existence, Sahaj Unlimited has continuously performed for audiences in Finland and abroad, including yearly gigs at the most important Finnish ethnic music festivals, concerts in Italy, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
Sahaj Unlimited has finally released a long-awaited CD to celebrate its full 10 years of rehearsing and performing together.
