Sikkim is famous for the Temi Tea Garden, spread over a sloping hill it is the only tea garden in Sikkim and is known for the superior quality tea that it produces. The tea produced in this garden is also sold under the name Temi Tea.
Hotels and Accommodation in Sikkim
Being popular with tourists Sikkim has many hotels and guest houses to choose from. There are also quite a few heritage hotels in Sikkim, these were once palaces belonging to royal families and have now been converted into hotels.
Sikkim does not have its own airport, and the nearest airport is Bagdogra (near Siliguri) in West Bengal. The airport is 125 km away from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim and is connected by regular flights from Delhi
Sikkim does not have a railway network within the state, and the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (near Siliguri) in West Bengal. From one can hire buses or taxis to reach Gangtok. New Jalaiguri has a strong...
